So I got to thinking the other day and started to wonder what was availible for sale in the city of Orange, CA. So I thought, "What they heck, lets have a look." My search criteria was as follows:
$200,000 or less
2+ bedrooms
1+ bathrooms
Here is what I found, minus addresses because the listings are not mine and I do not have permission to share them here, but I thought you may want to know what it is out there.
All that I could find in this price range was condos. Not that there is anything wrong with condos, afterall I live in one, but that does mean that there will be home owners association fees. I will list the fees with the properties and I will tell you approximately what your montly payment could be if you have a loan with 3.5% down, which is your minimum down payment for an FHA loan, and 5% as the interest rate.
The first place on my list is off of Batavia. It has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, 886 squarefeet and the asking price is 140,000 with association dues of $185. On this property your montly payment with home owners association (HOA), insurances, and property taxes will be about $1160!
The second place I found is off of Glassell. It has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1104 squarefeet and the asking price is $149,000 with a HOA of $240. On this property your montly payment with HOA, insurances, and property taxes will be about $1276!
The next place I found is off of La Veta. It has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 990 squarefeet and the asking price is $190,000 with a HOA of $280. On this property your montly payment with HOA, insurances, and property taxes will be about $1591!
The last place, off of Shaffer, has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1104 squarefeet and the asking price is $194,900 with a HOA of $220. On this property your montly payment with HOA, insurances, and property taxes would be about $1570!
